ALOFT Drone Photography LLC FAQ's
-
Can ALOFT fly a drone anywhere to complete a client's aerial photography?Simply put, no. The FAA controls and regulates all airspace within the United States. There is airspace over certain areas that the FAA identifies as "no-fly" zones. This airspace can't be flown in without a granting waiver from the FAA and is over places like: airports, military installations, designated wildlife areas and state or national parks. Additionally, some airspace may be designated as "controlled" airspace by the FAA. This airspace requires approval from the FAA with specific flight limitations (such as maximum altitude limits) due to nearby aircraft, population density or critical structures. Lastly, the FAA can issue a "TFR" or Temporary Flight Restriction, prohibiting flight in airspace over certain areas due to traveling dignitaries, sporting events with large crowds, or other activities. Fortunately, most of ALOFT's client projects are requested within "uncontrolled" airspace, over areas that don't need approval, waivers or additional requirements from the FAA. We will work with all clients to determine if there are any limitations or restrictions imposed by the FAA (and local/federal government agencies) prior to the start of your project.

What if I'm not satisfied with my media photography or videography products? Our primary goal is to provide the highest quality media photography and videography products for our clients. Equally important for us is our desire to make you happy and completely satisfied with the service you receive. In the rare event that you are not satisfied with our service and your products we will work our best to make it right...including re-accomplishment of post-session editing or a complete project re-shoot if that is what it takes. ALOFT aims to not only complete your project successfully, but to gain your referral to friends and business partners once we surpass your expectations.
-
How long will it take ALOFT to complete my project? The time required to complete your project will include: time needed to gain FAA approval to fly in controlled airspace (if required when requesting drone imagery), travel time to and from your session site, setup and tear-down for the session, actual time capturing your imagery, photo/video editing and uploading of your files. Our goal is to complete a project from start to finish within two business days. For projects larger in scope, an extra day should be expected to allow more time for post-photo/video editing.
